George Anthony Hickey died at the age of 82 on Friday 28th October 2011. He had been fit and healthy in his retirement but in his 80's he unexpectedly developed Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was having difficulties with his breathing which affected his fitness and ability to play golf but he was still the same old sociable George. Shortly before his death he was admitted to hospital with a relatively minor unconnected problem. Unfortunately he contracted Pneumonia whilst in hospital and due to his underlying lung condition he quickly passed away. George was a dearly loved Husband, father, relative and friend to many. This fund is in memory of him and will be used to further research and help to support others with lung disease. Many thanks for your support
